Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunities to give back through volunteering don’t end with retirement! Volunteering gives meaning and purpose to seniors just as it did when they were younger. Seniors bring a wealth of knowledge to their volunteer experiences, impacting their communities in many significant ways.

Our seniors are active with the Food for Thoughts program for youth in the Illini West School District, Grandma’s Cookies, multi-generational programs with the W.O.W. Park in Carthage and a host of opportunities through our Resident Council. The Owen’s General Store keeps our seniors busy with planning, organizing and managing our Hancock Village general store.

See what people are saying about Hancock Village…

“The staff and other people are always nice to talk to, but I know I also have privacy when I need it. The food is wonderful; which is something we never would have been able to do at home alone.”
